10 Colors printed on SBS board using Flint Inks on a Bobst press. This package has 4 color process, 4 spot colors, matt and gloss varnish plus hot foil stamping. The judges commented that this was a nice looking sample with foiling and a good use of differential lacquering. The reversed out and normal type is very clear and clean. |

7 colors and white reverse printed on a film/film lamination using Inx inks on a Cerutti press. This package represents displays high-end design graphics with mouth watering fruit. A bright in-your-face package with dynamic colors. A nicely produced label with good halftones, nice solids and clean legible type. |

4 color process plus 2 special colors, Lacquer on backside foil and heat seal onto lacquer printed on a Schiavi press using Sun Chemical ink. The solids were good, halftones good and it was of special interest to note the fine detail and intricate detail obtained without the use of ESA on Metallized paper. |

4 Process colors, special purple plus lacquer surface printed on the paper side of a paper/foil laminate without the use of ESA. Heatseal coating applied to the foil side (backside) of the web printed on a Cerutti press using Sun Chemical inks. Large realistic looking blueberries and cherry fruit look good. The label is open and gives the impression of space. The halftones were well executed. |

4 Colors printed on a four-ply lamination consisting of PET/ Bonyl/ALU/ CPP films using Siegwerk ink on a Cerutti press. The judges commented that the rich, reverse printed graphics reflect the lusciousness of the sauce inside. The solids are very good and the halftones are outstanding. The black type is sharp and the fine metallic rule – cleverly created by revealing the aluminum foil layer of the laminate – ads an elegant upscale touch. The shaped pouch construction compliments the rich printing for an eye-catching package. |

9 Colors and registered lacquer printed on a Schaivi press using INX ink. The design is printed in several different size wraps and must meet consistent color standards. The overall appearance certainly evokes a cranberry feeling. Halftones are nice and the vignettes are good. The added silver adds value to the wrap. |

4 Process colors with registered lacquer and reverse side registered hotmelt printed on paper using Sun Chemical Inks on a Cerutti press. This is a promotional wrap consisting of three designs made from four-color process inks in which the balance of print had to meet health warning color and customer graphics. Overall a well-produced label with good halftones and clean, crisp type. The health warnings while gruesome were well produced. |

8 Stations were used to print this package on SBS board using Flint ink on a Bobst press. These packs incorporate pearlesent ink, two different polychromatic metallic inks, matt and gloss lacquer. The combination of matt and gloss lacquers with the polychromatic inks and the vignettes background give a sophisticated and modern look, which is emphasized by the embossing elements. |

8 Colors plus varnish printed on SBS board laminated with an in-register film holographic on a Bobst press. The use of holograms contributes to enormous shelf appeal. Small screens of color were used on each pack to distinguish brand variants. The hologram was designed to fit existing brand graphics and the company stated that this is the first time that a totally in-line reel to carton process has utilized a registered hologram film and board laminate for the tobacco market. It is a bright looking carton with excellent halftones, clear and clean type and good solids. |
