JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
10 Colors including a registered back print and registered varnish printed on SBS board on a Bobst press using Sun Chemical inks. The judges commented that this was an almost perfect job. The small type is sharp and legible, the grips are good and the halftones clean. It was noted that the word “Long Lasting Fruit Flavor” is some of the smallest embossing that can be done and was “spot on” register with the black type. The die cutting is very clean despite the complicated layout. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
5 Colors plus UV coating printed on 44 Lb. Westvaco premium coated liner using solvent based ink and UV coating on a Cerutti press. This gravure pre-print product replaced an existing offset printed top sheet laminated to corrugated boxes. A bright impressive piece of printing. The highlights have carried well, the grips are not too large and the registration from the artwork and printing point of view very good. The gloss lacquer adds to the appeal of the finished job. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors with adhesive and cohesive applied in line. Lamination of 75 ga OPP and 60 ga MOPP in-line on a W&H Heliostar press. The job is truly unique in that the art was separated to use the metalized material to “show through” the background color and still maintain a nice flowing “swirl” screened image and stay with the customers eight color limit. This is truly an example of gravure at its finest. The subdued colors evoke the image of black cherries very well. The reversed out type is legible and the normal type sharp. The halftones are well produced and there is no dot skip in the black. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors printed on a triplex film lamination using solvent based inks on a Cerutti press. The detail of this package is very good. The use of a metallic substrate captures the design and the unique background print makes it stand out. The halftones are well executed, the fine type is clean and crisp and the register good. A well executed print job. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors printed on a film/film lamination using solvent based inks on a Cerutti press. The judges commented that the use of the metallic substrate captures the design and the unique background print makes it “POP”. The sharp halftones in the Chocolate Terrine Bar combined with the clean, clear, legible type make this a worthy winner. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
9 Colors printed on 8 ga PET using Sun Chemical inks on a Cerutti press. Judges commented that there was a soft natural look on the Licorice pouch created by using the matt lacquer, a simple design and the reversed out type is good. This also gives the pouch an old fashioned feel. The fonts are extremely clean crisp and well done due to the use of Extreme-E technology. A nice pouch. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
7 Colors and matt lacquer printed on a three-ply structure of PET/PE sealant/Foil on a Schiavi press. The presentation of the pack is good giving a feeling of quality about the product. The subtle colors and subtle background add to its appeal. The reversed out type is very legible. While the bags appear to use only three ink colors, seven were actually used to that resulted in the rich graphics depicted. |
