Nordenia USA wins PLGA Best of Show Award
A flexible pouch for Clorox Fresh Step Crystals kitty litter is "the cat's meow," winning best of show honors for converter Nordenia USA, Inc., in the recent Packaging & Label Gravure Association's Excellence in Printing competition. The Jackson, MO-based converter also won top honors in the Flexible Packaging Pouches category.

"A very well-produced piece that makes full use of the gravure process," judges said, remarking on the pouch's rich, deep colors. "The registration is tight and has perfectly produced vignettes using metallic inks."

Taking special Judges Honors Awards were Avery Dennison SPD for "Carnivorous Plants" in the Stamps category; and Printpack, Inc., for "Lindt Lindor Truffles" in the Flexible Packaging Bags category. Winners were chosen from a field of 50 entries overall in the competition.
