PLGA February 2004 Quality Awards
Thanks to all of you, participation in our "Quality Awards" program is growing. This year we had a total of 78 entries, which represents an increase of 10% over last year. This would have been a 17% increase if the additional samples that were to be entered had reached us.
Each year, the judging of awards becomes more difficult because of the number and quality of awards submitted in each category. This year the judges each used a numerical rating for each entry in a category and a winner was selected based on the composite rating of all judges. In the event of a very close finish between two entries in a category, and where the judges felt that the entry was truly deserving, an "Honorable Mention" was awarded to the second place finisher. In one category there was a tie for the winner, and that category will have two winner awards presented.
