JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors surface matte printed on PETG with a reverse out area over the reverse printed process area using Sun Chemical Inks on a Chesnut press. The black type is very legible and clean and the selected area varnish for improved COF registers well with the vignettes. The blue background looks good and the white type is also good. A nice piece of work.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors printed on a PVC substrate using Sun Chemical Inks on a Chesnut press. The package represents the launch of a new package with the metallics set to match the traditional board package. Special “no split” silver ink with was used to achieve the desired results. Another nice sample well printed package. The type is clear, the reversed type is also good and the green image and the contrasting yellow give a nice balance to the sample.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
7 Colors reverse printed on a 50 micron PVC substrate using Sun Chemical Ink System on a Rotomec press. The judges commented that this was a nice sample, well printed. The halftones extremely well produced and the vignettes are good and clean, the black type is excellent and the reversed out type open and clear.

Freal Foods Eggnog Milk Shake

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
9 Colors plus thermally activated heat seal printed on freezer grade PET. Job was printed using Coates Inks on a Rotomec press. A well printed job with strong colors and nice process print in the ice cream that looks real. The metallic ink simulates the metal cup well. The silver is well printed and contrasts nicely with the red and blue. The type looks good, is clean, crisp and well produced.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors printed on PETG using Coates Inks on a Rotomec press. A nice dramatic sample with deep saturated colors. The reversed out type is good and clear, the halftones are good, the gold is bright and the difficult register around the B & B logo area is very good. Overall a nice sample.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
7 Colors printed on PETG with solvent based inks on a Tecmo press. A dramatic sample with contrasting orange, gold and black images and nice halftones. The gold printing is good and the reversed out and normal type is clean and clear. The combination the metallic gold, bright colors and smooth lay result in an attractive “pop off of the shelf” label.
