JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
6 Colors plus topcoat printed on 6 SG FWS label paper using water based inks on a Schiavi press. A simple label well produced the fine pattern and detail in the background of the rams head adds to the effect. The type is clear and clean nice label.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
7 Colors printed on OPP with Sun Chemical inks on a W&H press. The judges commented that the sample conjures up the image of freshness with the water splash. The reversed type is clean and crisp and the normal type is good. Overall a nice presentation.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
7 Colors plus Adcote plus varnish printed on in mold label paper on a Schiavi press. The judges noted the tight registration held on all colors. The multiple vignettes and subtle tones make this label for an every day household product worthy of an award.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors plus two varnishes printed on opaque film on a Schiavi press. This is a bold sample that utilized three different blacks and silver with multiple vignettes to produce the label. The small type on the backside label is clear and legible and the overall job reflects a job well done.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
6 Colors plus two lacquers printed on DI-NA-Cal gloss finish release coated stock using DI-NA-CAL HTL ink system on a Rotomec press. The company stated that the customer chose the gravure printed heat transfer process to achieve a photographic image for shelf presence. The judges commented on the fine detail and register in producing the front graphics. The fine type on the backside of the bottle is clear and neat, a well produced sample on a difficult substrate.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
7 Colors plus topcoat printed on 84-gsm-metallized paper using water based inks on a Schiavi press. The six colors consisted of four process colors plus two PMS colors. The judges commented on the smooth vignette from purple to green. The pomegranates look real. The gold adds to the label’s appeal and the white, green and red colors are well done.

6 Colors plus varnish printed on Raflatac Extragloss label paper using Sun Chemical inks and Northwest Coatings varnish on a Chesnut press. The registration on this sample is very good and the colors well laid and brilliant. The type is clean and very legible and all of the solids are good as is the die cutting. Altogether a well produced label.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
8 Colors printed on a clear pressure sensitive film on a Schiavi press. These are nice labels that are well printed. The registration is outstanding and the depth of color in the black, gold and silver colors is also good. The type is clean and very legible, the opacity is strong and the optical brighteners add a vibrant sheen to the label. Altogether a well produced product.
