JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
Eight colors printed on PET G high yield film. This was the first successful run utilizing a new opaque white shrink film material. The company feels that printability of this type film will open new growth markets.
The judges commented that the illustration conjures up a vision of cocoanut trees on a tropical beach. Exceptional white coverage with solid overprint, it was apparent there was a high level of technical skills. The fading of the halftone into the background has a great effect. The small type is very clear and sharp and the use of gold enhances the luxury aspect. |

Miracle-Gro Bloom Buster
JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
Nine colors printed on PVC film with a UV inhibitor. A nice sample with a soothing background against a good reproduction of the flowers. Smooth vignettes over high-density white presents an outstanding package. The variation in the mauve background adds a dimension to the pack and the solid green is smooth. The flowers exhibit incredible detail and the type is clean, clear and crisp. A busy but well produced pack. |

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
Eight colors printed on PET G. Process screens were printed to emphasize front & back panels on a square container. Due to limitations of material prepress/layout, distortation was necessary to execute designs on all four sides.
Excellent yellow over white resulted in a dense deep color, the fine type is outstanding and the coverage through and consistent. The flowers are exceptional and look real. Overall an outstanding graphic representation that reflects the quality product. |
