WINNER

CATEGORY:
Paper-Top Coated

COMPANY:
Multi-Color Corporation

ENTRY:
Leinenkugel’s Big Butt Dopplebock

JUDGE'S COMMENTS:
Seven colors surface printed on metallized paper, while deceptively simple looking, proved to be demanding because of the subtlety of the colors, fine lines and tight registration required.

The judges commented that this was a big name for a small label. Considering the embossed surface of the metallized paper, the halftone areas are well produced and the subtleness of the bands in the background look good. There is a very nice fade on the large white letters and the letters are clean and crisp.

Eight colors + varnish + 2 special coatings surface printed on metallized Polypropylene film. This is a bright label, well-produced making full use of the metallized substrate. Transparent inks and subtle color gradients add, “pop” to the blue. The solids and halftones are well printed and the reversed out type sharp and clear. The small white script type below the logo is also good and required special care to print effectively.
